Early February Fixtures

Hi all,

Due to the popularity of myblog we have moved to this new home. For details of other posts please check blog.mkjbs.co.uk
At some point I will move permanently to this new address!

We have a heavy set of fixtures this week due to the bad weather in December so maybe its a chance to pick up some wins which have been sparse of late!

I'll do a full round up of the closing of the transfer window later in the week as there is still some 2 hours to go so much can still happen!

Swansea travel to Bristol tomorrow so not a long journey for a Tuesday! They lost in the cup to Orient at the weekend which was a bit of a surprise to most people including my Yankee! They have a great away record and see no reason why they shouldnt get back on track tomorrow.

Another team that lost to Orient in the cup were Norwich. Norwich find themselves 2nd after a great run of results and could be even better off had they found the target at Crystal Palace on Saturday. They are at home to Millwall on Tuesday night and a quick check shows that these 2 teams played out a 1-1 draw at the New Den earlier in the campaign. Millwall getting an equaliser in the 94th minute! You may thinks that was a bit unfair on Norwich but consider that norwich have themselves scored 8 times in the dying minutres of games themselves this season and maybe it doesn't seem so tough!

I take Norwich to improve on the draw and pick up 3 points.

Southampton make the relatively short trip to Exeter on Tuesday. Albeit the A35 is not the best road to travel on so hopefully they wont get stuck behind too many tractors! Southampton did well against Man Utd at the weekend but ultimately fell as most teams have done this season. On 1 january Exeter were soundly beaten 4-0 at Southampton and I expect Southampton to get back to winning ways and win at St James Park.

Finally Rochdale are away at Tranmere. Tranmere have picked up some good wins of late including a win over Southampton. Again on the 1 January the 2 teams met and Rochdale won the encounter 3-2. Penalties galour and a sending off. Rochdale have pulled out some nice away wins this season and once again I believe they can do it again.

the yankee this midweek will pay just over £90 - hopefully this will stop the rot!
